Or is it? You don't need to make huge changes all once. Also don't throw everything away - that's not green either. Finish using whatever products you have first, dispose and recycle as best as you can, and then make a switch to something greener.
Choose something small that you can keep up. Use a plastic free toothbrush, a reusable to go cup, or a reusable grocery bag. Once you’ve mastered that first step, you can move on to the next.

As I mentioned in a previous post, there are many factors (or 50 shades of green) to consider when it comes to making the "green" choice. So sometimes maybe you can only make one change in your lifestyle for the better. Eventually you can make more adjustments.
I've come up with a system partially thanks to the amazing non profit organization, Turning Green. Each October, they host Project Green Challenge, a 30 day online challenge for students in middle through graduate school. Each day has a different theme with two levels of challenges they can submit: Greener and Greenest. I've added Green to the list:
